HOCKEY CITY CLASSIC 2013
Chicago, Illinois | USA

EVENT SUMMARY

Soldier Field hosted its first ever outdoor hockey game on February 17, 2013. The Hockey City Classic was a doubleheader of four top-20 college teams, preceded by two weeks of winter festivities. The Hockey City Classic brought over 100,000 fans together across 80+ events.

TGI designed the event graphics to resemble the city of Chicago. In doing so, the skyline and wintery climate were incorporated on stadium decor, LED animations, and ice resurfacers. In addition to the design and production of the graphics, TGI was responsible for installation and striking of the event.

MLS CUP 2012 | LOS ANGELES

MLS CUP 2012
Home Depot Center | Los Angeles, California – USA

EVENT SUMMARY

Since 2005, TGI has partnered with Major League Soccer to provide décor and pageantry for the MLS Cup, the culminating match of each season. The 2012 Cup, however, proved to be a unique challenge as this marked the first time that the host venue and city were not determined well ahead of the event, but rather decided by the outcome of the playoffs; the highest seeded team in the final would host the match. With limited time available, TGI was able to survey each venue to be used during the festivities, make décor and signage recommendations to MLS, and successfully produce and install the graphics.

FIFA U-20 WORLD CUP 2011
Multiple Locations | Colombia

EVENT SUMMARY

In early Fall 2010, TGI was approached by the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup Colombia and asked to submit a proposal for the décor and pageantry needs for a competition spanning eight (8) stadia over 22 days.

The Colombian LOC understood that this was a substantial undertaking that would require a company with the experience to manage multiple venues under a strict deadline and budget, and TGI was contracted as the lead company for the project. TGI partnered with Colombian entities and independent contractors to completely turn-key the stadium décor project of the FIFA U-20 World Cup Colombia 2011 and make it a success.

COKE HOSPITALITY | WORLD CUP 2010

THE COCA-COLA COMPANY GLOBAL HOSPITALITY PROGRAM
FIFA World Cup 2010 | South Africa

As a result of TGI’s success in working with Coca-Cola on their hospitality venues, during the 2006 Germany FIFA World Cup™, Coca-Cola once again called upon TGI to work similarly in 2010. Coca-Cola hired TGI to design their hospitality village in Johannesburg for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™; very similar to the work provided in Berlin and Munich in ’06. TGI was challenged with providing spatial design using the Coca-Cola visual identity standards and the design proposal included elements ranging from the carpet and hardwood flooring to compulsory designs laid onto the beverage bars, tables-tops, back-wall structures, partitions, welcome desks, window graphics, and planters.

TGI worked diligently to adapt the Coca-Cola “look” onto many of the hospitality assets and village area and at near project completion managed the quality control, delivery with Match Hospitality AG for Coca-Cola.

The range of products and services provided includes:

  • CAD Renderings and short-animations of the completed designs
  • Approximately 550 artwork files
  • Sample prints of confirmed artwork files
  • Quality control, coordination and communication with local converters

2010 Alltech World Equestrian Games | Lexington, KY

2010 WORLD EQUESTRIAN GAMES | USA

2010 ALLTECH FEI WORLD EQUESTRIAN GAMES™
Lexington, Kentucky | USA

EVENT SUMMARY

For the first time since the inception of the World Equestrian Games in 1990, the United States was selected as the host nation. The Games are the quadrennial international championships of the Fédération Equestre International (FEI), the governing body of equestrian sports. Eight years ago, Kentucky Horse Park, a 1,200 acre (4.85 km²) facility just outside of Lexington, Kentucky, was selected as the site of the 2010 Games. It would also be the first time the Games were held entirely at one venue. The state’s rich history of equestrian sports made a suitable choice for the world’s premier equestrian competition, and a 16-day attendance of 500,000 strong further supported that decision.

Soon after, FEI began entertaining bids for the job of providing the environmental graphics for the Games, and out of the review process, TGI was selected to provide the digital graphics that would enhance the experience of those attending and participating in the Games. TGI worked extensively with leaders from FEI and Alltech, who sponsored the Games, to create an exciting environment reflecting the spirit of the event, while tastefully representing the Alltech brand. In the end, nearly 100,000 square feet (9,300 m²) of graphics were produced, including a 13,000 ft² wrap of one side of the main stadium.

FIFA U-20 WORLD CUP 2007

EVENT SUMMARY

TGI, as FIFA’s exclusive provider for perimeter advertising and sponsor display signage, was responsible for the simultaneous delivery of advertising signage, way finding signage, and event décor across six venues in Canada.

From the initial planning stages of site surveys and cost analysis, to the removal of all pieces, TGI worked closely with the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the FIFA U-20 World Cup Canada 2007 to assure the timely delivery of quality event décor and pageantry items. TGI managed all aspects of this décor project, from creating the “event look”, to producing more than 85,000 ft² of pageantry, to fully managing the installation process in addition to providing décor at the FIFA, LOC and media hotels in all cities.

Additionally, TGI hired, trained and deployed eighteen (18) local staff (including some English- French bi-lingual) to handle the pre-install, installation and management phases of the competition in addition to three local companies as sub-contractors to assist with the installations and de-rigging.

iSe HOSPITATLITY
FIFA World Cup 2006 | Germany

EVENT SUMMARY

During the FIFA World Cup 2006 Germany, iSe Hospitality conducted the largest corporate hospitality program for an international sporting event. International Sports and Entertainment AG (iSe), based in Zurich, Switzerland was the exclusive contractual partner for the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany. The overall project has been dubbed the “most successful hospitality programme in FIFA World Cup™ history.” The objective was to build themed – corporate hospitality villages immediately adjacent to the stadium in which the FIFA World Cup™ partner family and individual groups and patrons would be able to conduct their corporate hospitality needs pre and post match, as well as activate the in game experience with their “own” corporate suite in the stadium premise (Sky box).

TGI Systems ramped up operations starting with the first weekend in February 2006 by conducting site surveys to the deployment of over 70+ installers in the seven host cities. Production was carried out in Germany with a network of 3M certified digital print converters that were selected based upon technology and expertise. A team of local designers and installation team managers fulfilled the entire planning phase of the project. Local project managers that communicated daily with the on-site operations staff, handling last-minute changes and additions, executed the installation plan.
